First Lacrosse Game of the Season

I am pleased to report that the Youth Lacrosse team I coach won it's Season opener yesterday. The boys put forth a solid effort and won 7-4. What was really encouraging was the play of our Goalie. He never tended goal in the past...he was a defenseman. He had a great outing and made some nice saves and clears.
Number 13 pictured above is my son. This is a photo from a game 1 year ago. He plays Attack. While he did not score yesterday he had an extremely nice pass to a Middie breaking thru the crease which led to a goal and hence an assist.
We hope this is the start of a fun and winning season. Stay tuned.

Coming from out west I was unfamiliar with lacrosse. The playing field outside our first Philly apt.had strangle triangular goals and it wasn't till we actually saw kids out playing that we finally understoood what they were for.

Great American game.

Congrats on the win! We're in the midst of soccer season with our little ones. In answer to your question about going to the Derby, for once, we don't have plans. For years, my husband's family had a box and we enjoyed a front-row view at the first turn. We've also experienced it from the corporate suites. All glorious. But, when Hubby's grandfather died, the tickets were no longer. I will have to check out the blog that mentions Pappy Van Winkle. BTW, since you're into boxing, my hubby wants to know what you think of Pacquiao. (I have no clue, just passing along :)
