Remember

Today is National POW/MIA Recognition Day. I am certain we all know someone who has a loved one in harm's way or is in harm's way themselves.Perhaps if we take a moment to have a good thought for those in our Armed Services who have been captured by our enemies or lost in a combat zone, it will give them some modicum of relief. Strangely, this day of tribute and remembrance does not get much play;it should.

  2. I agree. My uncle died in August whole heartedly believing that one of his comrades is still a prisoner in Vietnam. He wrote letters, made phone calls and did all he could to draw attention to this issue. I worry that when his generation is gone that no one will care anymore. My son told me that there was a re- enactment done of a POW camp on his college campus last week. He said the soldiers talked to anyone who would stop and listen. Thank you for doing your part!
